Ontario and Alberta both have active government programs that can fund AI automation and SOP systems right now. Both have hard deadlines this year. Here is how the funding actually works, and what it takes to use it.
Neither program hands money to Nevoniq. Both fund the client directly for adopting AI and automation technology, and Nevoniq is paid as the technical delivery partner, not the applicant.
Client applies directly. Consultant costs for writing the application itself are not eligible. Expertise costs for the actual implementation are eligible, this is where Nevoniq is engaged, as a line item in the client's approved budget.
Phase one is a free operational technology assessment through CME. Phase two matches up to $30,000 in eligible technology and automation spend, cutting the client's net cost roughly in half.
For projects with genuine technical uncertainty, not routine integration work, this is filed by the client's own accountant after project completion. Nevoniq documents the engineering process to support the claim, but does not file or guarantee it.
Grant funding changes how a project gets paid for. It does not change how Nevoniq builds it. Every engagement moves through the same four stages.
A plain language review of how your safety logs, SOPs, or inspection records actually move today.
Scoped to the specific bottleneck identified, on a fixed fee and fixed timeline agreed before work starts.
Nevoniq stays available through the first weeks of real use, not gone the day it ships.
Once proven at one site, decide together whether and how it extends to more sites or more workflows.
Whether the underlying funding is AMIC or AMPG, the build deliverable itself does not change.
A written technical project plan, scoped to the specific funding program's criteria, if the engagement includes a grant application scoping component
One deployed, working tool addressing the specific bottleneck identified during the audit, not a generic platform
A measurable KPI framework a program reviewer, or your own leadership team, can actually assess
Documentation of the engineering process, supporting an SR&ED claim if your accountant determines the project qualifies
A fixed price and fixed timeline agreed in writing before work begins, independent of when or whether grant funds are disbursed
One conversation is enough to know whether your timeline actually works. No pressure, no jargon.
